Abstract
The paper presents results of research of entrants and students quality by means of date-mining. The authors introduce a new quantitative indicator of a university entrant quality. The indicator is derived from results of the centralized testing by using the principal components and classification analysis. The quality indicator is considered as a systematic knowledge indicator. The results were used in marketing of the university. It is shown how an effect of the direct mailing was exposed and how the mail efficiency was estimated. The target group was defined a priory by using a systematic knowledge indicator. Bootstrapping was used to reveal the direct mailing effect from a superposition of other marketing efforts towards the university entrants and to validate the effect. The efficiency of the applied method to enroll the target group of entrants was equal. Specific cost to attract the target entrant by the direct mail was calculated.

Abstract
Vision of the future of higher education in Russia and perspective policy of the state in period to 2030, based on the Delphi results, is presented. 730 experts from 39 cities in Russia, working in higher education (representing 79 universities), government and business are participated in this Delphi. General guidelines for the policy in higher education are defined; promising measures for enhancing education, research, innovation, economics and management in universities are identified. Various actors’ activity in developing education, research and innovation is forecasted.

Abstract
In the article there are given different approaches to institutional diversity and differentiation analysis realized by foreign and Russian experts. B. Clark’s triangle of coordination and the stakeholders’ theory are proposed as a methodology for the analysis of emerging higher education landscape in Russia. The authors concluded that the state as a main stakeholder of higher education should have a wide range of priorities of the educational policy and more flexible instruments to encourage the differentiation and diversity in Russian higher education system.

Abstract
This article is dedicated to the analysis of the influence of students’ social competence to the success rate in their future profession. The authors analyse different approaches to professional success rate, considering social competence as the main agency. On the ground of studing the influence of extra-curricular activities to forming as elements of students’ social competence as understanding of their values and getting ahead motivation, the authors have concluded that the success rate is connected with the social competence.

Abstract
It’s shown that the modernized high technical education system’s effective promote to graduates job placement can be achieved through the high technical educational institutions, students and factories interactions organization; highly skilled experts with an individual set of the professional competences joint training.
