Abstract
Russian institutes of higher education apply for their practice rating estimation of university departments and
faculties activity. The applied procedures of rating estimation contain large amount of showings that, as rule as, do
double several, the most important, evaluation criteria. This article considers the experience of Siberian University for
Consumers Co-operation (Novosibirsk) in selection of the most informative showings for formal rating estimation of
