The summary analysis of the approaches for corporative management system building in higher education
institution is outlined. The role and status of the corporate management system building in higher education
institution is justified, as well as current transition challenges. Existent peculiarities of the medical institution
management are discussed. The experience and practice of the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in
building of the corporate management system and the perspectives for management?s improvement in higher
education is covered.

Text describes the experience of creating and maintaining the research laboratory that maintains joint
research projects for students, teachers and university research staff. It demonstrates that such laboratories
may work as a ground for research environment to be sustained and developed within a university. Some
other instruments for academic innovations are discussed, as well as their perspectives, benefits and risks.

Two general characteristics of the university teacher?s activity are introduced: ?leadership index? and

A method of strategic position estimation of higher schools depending on the attractiveness of educational

This article is devoted to a problem of modernization magister?s preparation system in Russia. The most
important factor that determining the magister?s programs quality is effective integration of education and
science in high school. The carried out research based on consideration of models of process of integration and
competence model of the graduate of educational program allows to develop approaches to management of
education?s quality.

The following report, provided by IREX describes the achievements of the University Administration
Support Program, funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and administered by IREX. Under the
auspices of this program, Russian university administrators are hosted by their American counterparts and
assisted in the research of topics that are of vital importance in contemporary Russian university management,
such as strategic planning, the establishment of credit systems, and compliance with the Bologna Process.
After their internships, the administrators are eligible for grants in order to implement the results of their
research.
